The IEEE Microwave Theory and Technology Society (MTT-S) and Power Electronics Society (PELS) are pleased to provide support for students who participate in oral, poster, or student competition sessions at the Wireless Power Technology Conference and Expo, WPTCE 2023. The objective of the student travel grants is to increase student participation at the conference and to increase student membership in IEEE MTT-S and PELS.

A total of $20,000 is available and will be used to provide up to $500 for students traveling from within the US and up to $1,000 for students traveling from outside the US. Students must be a member of MTT-S or PELS. Students who are from groups that are underrepresented in engineering, including women, are especially encouraged to apply.

Eligibility: To be eligible, students must be participating in an oral, poster, or student competition session, be an IEEE Student Member, and be an MTT-S or PELS member.

Selection of Recipients: Grant recipients will be chosen to support representation from many countries and research groups. Preference will be given to students who are from underrepresented groups in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM), including women, and to those from socially or economically disadvantaged groups. Preference may also be given to those with submissions that were more highly rated by reviewers.

Reimbursement: All Travel Support reimbursements are at the discretion of the Committee. Any decisions made by the Committee are final and cannot be appealed or debated. Reimbursement of costs will be done after the conference has concluded and students have sent in the necessary reimbursement forms and receipts.
